About Us
Our Company
Material Harvest Ltd is a Cambridge-based supplier of chemical products for synthesis, purification, manufacture and desiccation. It was founded in 2008 by PhD graduates from The University of Cambridge and The University of Bristol.
Our company supplies the University of Cambridge and companies in our region, as well as UK, EU and International research institutes. Our products include chromatography sorbents, silica gel, reverse phase (C18) silica, desiccants and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) plates.
What sets us apart is the fact that our staff are themselves trained chemists. We understand the science behind the products and we share our technical expertise with our customers.
Material Harvest consulted on a number of projects including the production of a novel carbon fibre reinforced plastic and the cleanup of industrial products. One of our most successful consultations resulted in a reinforced plastic, supplied through Daqing Huicheng Technology in China, for use in the local petrochemicals industry.
